First, I do want to say that I do want some kind of Universal Health Care. With that being said I have many questions that I want answered about the bills that are out there. There are lies and distortions on both sides, and we rational minded people suffer because of the few. I feel [...]

“… and who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled of course. The America that I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with down syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “Death Panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, [...]

…Well, according to El Rushbo I am:
I could make an argument that conservatism is closer to Nazism than liberalism, but then I’d be implying that several of my close conservative friends are Nazis and I’d be no better than Rush. So, I’ll just break down Limbaugh’s obviously heavily researched analysis of [...]

The Holier-Than-Thou Party has brought forth another sinner to confess his moral transgressions. South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has admitted to cheating on his wife:
“I’ve been unfaithful to my wife,” Sanford told a news conference in Columbia, the state capital. “I developed a relationship with what started as a dear, dear friend from Argentina.”
His [...]

In somewhat interesting news, CNN reports that former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is backing off his use of the word “racist” to describe Supreme Court appointee Sonia Sotomayor:
“Shortly after President Obama nominated her to a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, I read Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s now famous words: ‘I would hope [...]

Two things can happen now. Cornyn could stand by his comments and challenge the Republican status quo that has earned them a solid 21% favorability ranking from voters. But, as the Daily Kos notes, how likely is such a scenario? What gives us the confidence to believe that Cornyn won’t grovel to Boss Limbaugh’s knees and beg for forgiveness like Republicans Eric Cantor, Michael Steele, and Mark Sanford before him?

So what could she have possibly have said to garner the “reverse racist” label? She stated a “wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”
Read that again. How could she say she hated white people? How dare she! What gives her the audacity to say such cruel words?
Oh… you mean, she didn’t say that? But that’s what Rush made it sound like! And when Rush portrays someone, you know he’s portraying them as fairly as a credible and reputable media organization like FOX News would!

There is a difference between dialogue and giving in. Neville Chamberlain gave in to Adolf Hitler. Barack Obama will attempt to establish a dialogue with Hugo Chavez. We are unsure of whether that was the first meeting. I doubt it. Will all be reconciled in one meeting? Of course not. But there is much more to be gained than lost from engaging in talks. How much worse could relations between the U.S. and Venezuela have been under George W. Bush?

As all the news networks are doing, O’Reilly began his segment talking about Rush Limbaugh. Essentially, O’Reilly said that the issue of Limbaugh distracts Americans from the real issue at hand, the economy. So, we shouldn’t talk about Rush, we should talk about the economy.
Where was Mr. O’Reilly’s commitment to focusing on current events during the 2008 presidential election? While our economy kept tanking, “Papa Bear,” as Stephen Colbert calls him, had no problem trying to portray Obama as a terrorist sympathizer and a socialist. So, I guess we should only focus on the economy when its convenient for Republicans.

So much for Republican candor. This past Saturday night, Michael Steele, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, said of conservative mogul Rush Limbaugh, “his whole thing is entertainment… Yes, it’s incendiary. Yes, it’s ugly.” On Monday, Steele backtracked from his comments:
