Here’s the definition of “idiot” according to Dictionary.com. I’m even going to block quote the definition for you even thought it’s only one sentence. Heck, I’ll even make it bold. Here you go:
an utterly foolish or senseless person.
If you believe Barack Obama was not born in the United States then you are, by definition, an [...]

In somewhat interesting news, CNN reports that former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is backing off his use of the word “racist” to describe Supreme Court appointee Sonia Sotomayor:
“Shortly after President Obama nominated her to a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, I read Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s now famous words: ‘I would hope [...]

There is a difference between dialogue and giving in. Neville Chamberlain gave in to Adolf Hitler. Barack Obama will attempt to establish a dialogue with Hugo Chavez. We are unsure of whether that was the first meeting. I doubt it. Will all be reconciled in one meeting? Of course not. But there is much more to be gained than lost from engaging in talks. How much worse could relations between the U.S. and Venezuela have been under George W. Bush?

Is Limbaugh really that prideful? Would he honestly rather see the country continue to spiral downward into a depression than see it prosper and have to confess he was wrong on the matter? Would he rather see millions of his fellow citizens continue to be laid off and struggle to find a new job, and in doing so have difficulty paying the bills and feeding their families? Those are the implications of a failed stimulus plan. Would he really want this recession to prolong for another three years into 2012 so that a Republican can win the election and save this country with tax cuts? Tax cuts that probably wouldn’t show results for another year or so into this hypothetical administration? It sure seems like Mr. Limbaugh wants Americans to suffer for another five to six years just so he and his cronies can say they were right.

The Daily Kos weekly tracking poll reveals- surprise, surprise- that Democrats are just slightly more popular than Republicans these days. And by “just slightly” I mean “substantially and significantly.”

But let’s face it, bipartisanship is an ideal. The American political party system is essentially a conquest for power and the acquiring of more power, as shown in history by both parties. Do you think the Democrats are happy they have 58 seats in the Senate right now? Heck no! I don’t think they’d be happy with 70. Maybe not even 80. And if the Republicans were in the majority right now, they’d be the same way.
