In utterly depressing news today, the House vetoed a $700 billion proposal to allow the government to bail out the current banking crisis. As a result, the Dow Jones went down almost 778 points today, the largest single day loss ever:
“The stock market was definitely taken by surprise,” said Drew Kanaly, chairman and CEO of [...]

Karl Rove, the evil mastermind behind President Bush’s 2000 and 2004 unfortunately successful campaigns, decided to visit Maine’s Republican delegation on this Labor Day. And, typical of the administration he helped put into office, he said something pretty hypocritical:
During his speech, he talked up John McCain’s Republican presidential bid and criticized Democratic nominee Barack Obama [...]

That’s all I seem to be able to say about Democratic candidate Barack Obama’s speech last night at the Democratic National Convention. Anyone who has criticized Obama for being too soft on rival John McCain saw Obama reference McCain over twenty times. He dissected McCain on issues such as the economy, the Iraq War, health [...]

I know this video clip of one of John McCain’s recent speeches is a couple days old, but I just had to comment on it, even with the Biden headlines dominating the airwaves. Without further ado:
So, Senator McCain claims ” the victory in Iraq is finally in sight.” Really? Well, what [...]

The video below shows a somber John McCain at one of his rallies addressing the Russia-Georgia Crisis, and at the end he declares that “Today we are all Georgians”:
I have an idea, let’s go out and poll Americans and ask them to point to Georgia on a map (we’ll have to [...]

In the midst of the Russia-Georgia Crisis that has dominated the national news for much of the past week, President Bush felt compelled to discuss the situation with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin during the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics:
Bush was filmed speaking to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin during Friday’s opening ceremonies and [...]

Pictured above is our President, George W. Bush, engaging in a conversation of some sort with American Olympian volleyball player Misty May-Treanor at the Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Now, normally I would rip Mr. Bush for taking such a trip because he hasn’t deserved it, because our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan can’t go [...]

In Las Vegas yesterday, Republican presidential candidate John McCain addressed the difference between himself and counterpart Barack Obama’s Iraq policy:
“Both candidates in this election pledge to end this war and bring our troops home. The great difference is that I intend to win it first,” the Republican senator from Arizona told the national convention of [...]
